Lidocaine Hydrochloride Character: White crystalline powder. Melting point 127-129ºC, a hydrate Lidocaine Hydrochloride melting point is 77-78 ºC. Easily soluble in water, 0.5% aqueous solution pHO 4.0-5.5. Odorless, bitter taste of hemp.
 

Usage:

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Local anesthetic. Mainly used for clinical anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, anesthesia (including thoracoscopy or abdominal surgery for mucosal anesthesia) and nerve conduction block. Also be used for acute myocardial infarction and ventricular tachycardia premature ventricular contractions, can be used to digitalis toxicity, cardiac surgery and cardiac catheterization-induced ventricular arrhythmias. But arrhythmias are usually ineffective.

Lidocaine Hydrochloride Injection, USP is indicated for production of local or regional anesthesia by infiltration techniques such as percutaneous injection and intravenous regional anesthesia by peripheral nerve block techniques such as brachial plexus and intercostal and by central neural techniques such as lumbar and caudal epidural blocks, when the accepted procedures for these techniques as described in standard textbooks are observed.
